About Dr Chaudhry

Comprehensive experience of pain medicine, across two health systems.

Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) as a specialist in Pain Medicine, Dr. Chaudhry practices within both NHS and private settings, consistently upholding high standards of clinical care.

He offers comprehensive consultations for patients experiencing chronic or complex pain, emphasizing thoroughness, clarity, and a dedicated commitment to identifying the most appropriate course of action. Dr. Chaudhry adopts a holistic approach, addressing not only the physical origins of pain but also its effects on daily functioning, employment, sleep, and autonomy. Each patient receives individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances rather than generic protocols.

Dr. Chaudhry obtained his MBBS in 2008 and completed foundational specialist training in Pakistan before relocating to the UK. He subsequently completed five years of advanced specialist training at the Warwickshire School of Anaesthesia, earning a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Anaesthesia and Chronic Pain. His diverse, international training has enriched his clinical perspective and procedural skills, which he continues to develop. He is committed to shared decision-making, providing patients with clear explanations of their diagnoses, transparent discussions of all treatment options, and a cautious approach that prioritizes conservative and minimally invasive therapies, reserving more invasive procedures for cases supported by strong clinical evidence.

His extensive experience includes performing various pain management procedures such as lumbar medial branch blocks, radiofrequency denervation, sacroiliac joint injections, epidural and nerve root injections, pulsed radiofrequency treatments, occipital nerve procedures, hip joint denervation, genicular nerve blocks for knee pain, and trigger point injections. He also offers second opinions for patients seeking alternative solutions after previous treatments have failed.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chaudhry actively participates in medical education. He serves as a Faculty Tutor for Chronic Pain trainees accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists, involved in training, supervision, and curriculum development. He also teaches on Royal College-approved ultrasound courses, contributing to the education of future clinicians.

Dr. Chaudhry has presented research at European conferences and remains engaged in academic activities focused on enhancing clinical practice. His work is evidence-based, current, and continuously evolving.

Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, Dr. Chaudhry maintains effective communication with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring consultations are thorough, accessible, and clearly understood.
